2/20 - I'm so far behind on this thing!! :( It's making me sad- and a little stressed out. I now feel like the people I hear say "I haven't scrapbooked anything from the last two years." We're having some computer issues, so two months of pictures are sitting on my camera waiting to be uploaded. Luke ordered what we need last night, so hopefully the problem will be fixed and we'll be back in business soon!
A funny conversation from yesterday... Boaz said, "Mom, do you think anyone will ever change the law of gravity? Like what if God decided to change the law of gravity?! Then I'd be walking around upside down and we'd be floating all over." Then he and Cainan proceeded to jump and throw things in the air and talked about how the law of gravity brought them back down to the earth. It's so amazing what these kids pick up with simple conversations. I seriously don't remember having in-depth conversations about gravity, but they have the concept down!! :) Love these little people.
Also from yesterday--- we've started a new routine here. When we can, we eat our afternoon snack at the table and I've been reading a chapter book to the kids. We finished our first one a couple days ago and yesterday I began the Boxcar Children. This series was a favorite as a kid. I finished up chapter one and the boys begged me to read another. I finished chapter 2 and they begged me to keep reading. We read three chapters and they wanted more. At bedtime, they pleaded to hear one more chapter. LOVE IT!!! I'll be intentional about keeping this routine up! I enjoy reading to them, they enjoy the stories, and it's been fun to re-read the books of my childhood. Anyone have other chapter books to add to the must-read-to-toddlers list??
