Found it!!!
Grandpa Montgomery sees his brick.
Grandpa talks about his service and what he did in the military. So cool to hear him tell about what he did.
Great Grandkids... Myka, Cainan, Adrian, Boaz
Add Kezia and Grandma Glace to the mix...
It was a really neat morning... thankful for all Grandpa and others have done to make this country what it is.
After the memorial, Aunt Sandi helped me run a couple errands with the kids and then we went back to Grandma Glace's house to work on a couple projects. We just finished reading Charlotte's Web, so Aunt Sandi and Grandma came up with a couple crafty projects to do to celebrate! We made pig masks...
Great Grandpa entertained the little girls while we crafted.
Aunt Sandi even brought spider webs with Charlotte's words written in them! So fun!
Cainan makes the best faces...
Sandi helped them attach the elastic...
And then they turned into Wilber the pig...
Cainan made his a muddy pig... of course.
This little one melts my heart.
Cainan was so excited about his Wilber mask that he ran out to show Great Grandpa. Great Grandpa was resting in the chair, but didn't mind the interruption.
Our next project was making Charlotte!
Boaz hooked his to a web.
Then we made edible spiders for dessert! Grandma Glace covered chowmein noodles with chocolate and the boys poked them into brownies to make a cute spider.
I think Cainan ate most of the legs on the table.
Wilbur and Charlotte.
For lunch, Great Grandpa wanted to treat the kids to ice cream. We went on a drive and ordered some shakes at Arby's. There was only one price listed on the menu, so I assumed they just had one size. The shakes were HUGE! And we had a ton of ice cream. But the kids were so so excited that Great Grandpa bought them ice cream. What a treat!!
As soon as we got home, Boaz wanted to start acting out Charlotte's web with Cainan and Myka.
Charlotte's Web video- not the best part of the story line, but shows a bit of what they do all the time.
Myka was Mr. Zuckerman
And then she got upset about something. This is nothing rare. Myka is a sensitive little one and spends a lot of her day crying. We're working on using words to express her emotions instead of bawling. :)
Luckily her crying sessions are usually short-lived and we get back to fun quickly.
Bath time! The kids were excited to see the new expanding washcloths that Aunt Sandi gave them!!
Superman!
Movie night! After we finish a book, we've been watching the movie. (if a movie available)
Boaz gets so entranced with movies that he forgets to eat his dinner.
I have more fun watching him watch movies than actually watching the movie. He is intense and really gets into the story line. It's not uncommon for him to be on his feet pacing with his hand on top of his head anxious about what's coming next.
Excited to see Templeton
Oh how I love these kids.
What a fun day with family. Thankful for this blessed life.
