Yeps.
Boaz lately has been combining the words 'yes' and 'yep.' It turns into a really cute "Yeps!" He answers all my questions very seriously. He also has been saying "buddy." I don't really call him that much, but he often answers "okay, buddy" or "yeah, buddy." Boaz recently developed a fake laugh that sounds like an old man who smoked all his life. I wish I could catch it on camera. He does this laugh when he's trying to be silly and make me smile. He is such a fun little guy.

Big Boy!
Nap #1- returned him to bed once. Night #2- returned him to bed 7 times. Nap #2- returned him once. Night #3- HE STAYED IN BED!!! Nap #3- HE STAYED IN BED! Could it be possible that it only took us 2 nights to train him in a new bed? I know he'll probably be sneaking out again someday, but we were incredibly proud of our little guy.
Here are a few pictures of his new room (taken before the pictures actually got hung on the wall). Over his toy shelves, he has a safari painting that my mom & dad got in Haiti when we went there when I was a little kid. A few years ago when I was in Haiti, I wanted to bring home a painting, but never got one. I was really excited to have this one at our house & it goes perfectly with his safari room!
Boaz is very excited that his radio is now accessable. He loves to go in and "press play" during the day. He loves his pillow corner and sits there to 'read.' The wall hanging was given to me by Joni & Theresa when they came back from Africa. And his Boaz painting from Beth had to make the move to the new room also! Joni is sending us some wood carvings from Africa that will be fun to add to his safari collection!!
This monkey nightlight may not actually make the final cut for the room. It's just too tempting and he's already broken one lightbulb after carrying it out to the kitchen for me to see. We may have to wrap it up for his 2nd birthday??
And here are a few pictures of our recent cooking. We started making banana bread a couple days ago and then I realized I didn't have enough eggs or sugar to continue. Boaz was really really upset that we were done cooking, so we spent time stiring noodles and marshmallows in water- cooking at its finest. These pictures are of the actual cooking day. This is pretty much all Boaz wanted to do after he was done with his stirring.
