no more pacis for Myka, Kezia's coin slot, june fun

6/5-  My helper... starting to try to pull up onto things, but she doesn't get very far.

Yes, she's wearing a sweatsuit in June!!
Cleaning up after our tball fun last night.

Myka's spot during the cleaning fest.
"Me do it!!"  (her favorite phrase!)

A clean floor means lot of room for rough fun.

Something tells me that Cainan is going to feel at home in a football helmet someday.

6/6- Today we hit the trails with our neighbor friends.  We loaded up the plasma cars and went for a ride.

Myka's starting to get birthday mail!  Our friends know her well.  She was so excited about this Minnie card.
She carried it around all afternoon.
This week I went to a practicum for Classical Conversations.  (More on that later)   The kids did some awesome learning and projects at a day camp while the adults learned.  These are some of Boaz's drawings in the style of various artists....  he's sleeping right now, but will have him explain them in the morning and write more about it!!  :)   (check back later if you read this tonight)

I decided after naps today that it was time for Myka to say goodbye to her pacifiers.  I had her gather them up and decorate a bag to give to Baby Kennedy across the street.  (I called Gretchen and told her of my plan).

The boys helped her make the bag pretty.
I went to get shoes for kids and came back to find this.... HA!  One last time with that paci.
Seriously... so so funny.
Heading out the door to deliver them to Kennedy's mailbox.
Bye-bye pacis!
Into baby's mailbox...
And Kennedy left her a present in return!!

A Minnie camera!!!

I just love how her brothers encouraged her... they were just about as excited as she was.

Cainan plays along as she takes pictures with her camera.
A big day for this big girl!
I saw something sticking out of Kezia's diaper tonight and laughed so hard when I peeked in...
A plastic coin!  I don't know who the guilty party is.
(Have you ever heard someone call a crack a coin slot??)    :)    Too funny.

** three new posts tonight... read on if you wish! **

A busy Tuesday- grocery store, tball movie night

6/4- A lot of mornings, we start with a show while I get breakfast ready for the crew.  Today Cainan wanted Kezia to sit with him.
She was more interested in Cainan than the show.

Cainan built a house for himself today.  I cringe when this many toys are used for such projects... but it sure did take up a lot of his morning!!
Where's Cainan??
Happy girl playing with her cart.

So so happy!

The hideout...
There he is!
It's a rainy day here and we needed a project.  I can convince them to help me clean if it's for a project.  We picked up the fort and they got to work wiping down the house for our GROCERY STORE!!
A grocery store does have to be clean!

I got out our big table and we got to work organizing our store.  I had them sort all of the food into categories... vegetables, fruit, meat, cans, dessert, dishware, etc.

We found some 'credit cards' for each of us so we could do some shopping.
I surprised them with a new cash register to play with.  A wonderful lady down the street just retired from teaching kindergarten and let me dig through her classroom things.  This was one of the treasures I bought from her.  They were so excited!!!  We set up the cash register and got shopping!!

Myka does a checkout...
To humor myself, I was trying to teach them to say "It's good!" or "Approved!" after they swiped a credit card... patterned after one of my favorite Saturday Night Live sketches ever....

Cainan's check out...
 Cainan's check out...

 Boaz's check out....
Boaz calls help to the front of the store.
While they kept playing store, I got the idea to add some real lunch items to the table for them to purchase for lunch.
Cainan helped organize it all in the store and we decided to invite Dad up to shop for his lunch, too.
While we were setting up, a sneaky little girl was helping herself to our lunch.
Daddy visits our store.
Cainan wasted no time buying his lunch after our special guest went through.
He bought a lot of food...

Handfuls of food...   Oh, Cainan.  :)
Cainan's lunch... after I made him put some back.

Paying for lunch...

"Approved!"
Paying for milk
That'll be $6.95, please...
We cleaned up our store and prepped our house for the first night of Tball!!  Since it was a rainy night, we had all the kids over to our place for a movie night.  We watched a cute movie about baseball (Everyone's Hero) and had popcorn.
Jonah, Reagan, Avery, Zoey
Alexa, Andrew, Myka, Cainan, Boaz

This little sneaker tried to eat all the crumbs.

The movie lasted about 30 minutes before all the kids decided they'd rather play with toys...   :)  A successful first night of Tball.
