all smiles!

7/20-  We went back out for more swimming today!  It's about the only thing you can do on incredibly hot days like this!   Myka & cousin Adrian cashed out in the living room while the rest of us enjoyed the water. 

Picnic time!

We finally did get someone to come and fix our air conditioning this evening.  It was a pretty simple fix, thankfully.  But the house didn't cool down all too quickly, so we went to Grandma & Grandpa Glace's new place for the night.  The boys got to have another campout in the basement!   Mom and I stayed up for awhile trying to figure out some decorating things in her new place.  Not sure that I really help her much in that arena, though!!  She humors me and lets me come up with ideas, but she's much better at decorating than me!   We both witnessed Myka's first big smile tonight!!  A genuine, reacting to people, big smile!!  It was so fun that Grandma got to see it, too!!  (we never did get a picture of it, but here she is inbetween attempts)

7/21-  At lunchtime today, we heard an airplane fly close to our house.  Then we heard it again... and again... and again!   After the 3rd or 4th time hearing it, I decided we'd better just jump up and go outside to check it out!!  I'm so glad that we interrupted the routine to go outside!   There was a crop duster spraying the field just north of our development, so everytime he turned around he circled right over our neighbor's house!   The boys loved watching him!!

Cainan is especially excited about things like trucks, trains, and planes... so this plane made his day!!

He would squeal with excitement everytime it popped up over the houses. 

Miss Myka is growing so fast.  She's 6 weeks old already!  I want to remember how tiny these sweet little fingers are... it won't last long!!
