Cainan 3 months/Boaz 2 years
A couple months ago (yes, I'm slow in posting these!), our dear friend Ashley Schrage took 'official' pictures of our boys. I like to get professional photos at age milestones and we happened to hit Cainan at 3 months & Boaz at 2 years on the same day! Ashley was so wonderful to work with. We simply played around the house while she did her thing. (And I didn't even have to clean first!) Cainan had an untreated ear infection on the day we shot these, so wasn't his regular happy self... and we still managed to get these great shots! There were too many amazing pictures to choose from, but these are a few of my absolute favorites. If you're looking for someone to capture your family/kids- I'd HIGHLY recommend giving Ashley a ring. Enjoy some milestone photos of our sweet little guys!!

Catching up- part 4
3/4 - No stories about this picture... just a cute one of Cainan hanging out in the kitchen with me. I LOVE this big smile. What a charmer!
3/6 - Luke got to go to St. Louis for the MVC basketball tournament last weekend. The days are warming up, so we hit the town while dad was gone! Friday morning we ran all sorts of errands together. I was so proud of how they did out on the town! We ran errands for almost 4 hours with no complaints from either child! As Boaz would say, "I no cry, Mommy!" Friday night, Grandma Glace came to stay with us. Then we got to do errands with her Saturday morning. At Walmart, she got Boaz these fancy new boots! We're excited to wear them out on our walks as the weather gets nice.
Boaz went with me to get the mail on Saturday afternoon so he could wear his new boots. The boots must still feel a bit funny on his calves, because he kind of waddles like a duck when he walks in them. (I need to get some video of that!) 
Cainan is just about too big for his baby carseat and we are getting ready to switch him to the convertible seat that Boaz is currently using. So- we recently bought this new booster seat for Boaz. He helped me put it together and got to sit in it for our movie night while dad was gone. He was super excited about the cupholder on the side!!

3/3 - Cainan rolled from his front to his back today! I think it was a fluke, since he hasn't done it again since then... but he did it once! I think his arms just happened to be in the right place for it to happen. We've spent a lot of time practicing the roll over on this mat the last couple weeks!
Boaz likes to roll on the mat also- he'll join in the practicing when he's feeling a bit out of the loop. :)
Cainan spends all of his days chewing on things... his arm, his hands, a toy, a blanket. I've looked for teeth and don't see them. The boy just likes to gnaw on things! 
Not sure if you can see it too clearly, but there are a couple sets of hand marks on Cainan's head after a recent nap. You could even see the fingernail indentations. The boys sleeps hard!!

I'm playing catch-up a bit with blogs... Luke commented tonight about how I just posted Cainan's 4 month pictures and he'll turn 5 months in a couple days!! Here are some more recent happenings.
2/25 - Boaz asked for another photo session on the big chair. Here are the best two shots we got!

3/2 - Luke took Boaz to his first CF basketball game! The game started at 7pm, so it was a bit of a risky venture, but he did awesome!! Our friends Dave & Jaxon were there, so Boaz had a good time hanging out with them. Boaz now LOVES this Tigers sweatsuit. I actually bought it at Walmart a couple years before we even had kids. They were selling all these kids sweatsuits in different colors with different fake team names...and they happened to have a red one that said Tigers!! Just had to get it for our future CF Tigers kiddos. Boaz and his daddy looked so cool together in their Tigers gear. When Boaz came home from the game, I seriously started tearing up because he looked so big and grown up. It's weird for me to see him at the stage where he can go on outings with his dad!! I love that he's getting old enough for that, but it's a bit sad that my baby is growing up so fast!! 
2/27 - Here is a video that Boaz helped take of Cainan talking. He's getting more and more verbal each day!

2/19 - Cainan got this bear sleeper from the Isaacson cousins. He was propped up with all of Boaz's teddybears and I thought he looked super cute.
2/20 - I sort of thought I'd be one of those moms who had her kids in really spiffy matching clothes all the time. This winter, that has not been the case. Here was one of Boaz's more amazing outfits... he picked it himself and insisted on wearing the shoes around the house that morning. (He misses the outdoors!)
Boaz always wants me to take pictures of the two of them on this mat! I oblige every time! :)

2/23 - My college roommate, Bethany, came to visit us!! It was so nice to catch up with her again and she enjoyed meeting Cainan for the first time. Boaz loved spending time with Beth- he talked about her for days afterward! 
Boaz LOVES talking to people on the phone. He begs to call people all the time. In this shot he was talking to Grandpa Glace. He walked around with his hands in his pockets and carried on the funniest conversation. He looked so grown up pacing the living room!

Cainan 4 months
2/16 - Cainan turned 4 months old!!! He is such a great little boy. He has a similar temprament to Boaz- he's super happy and content one second, and then can flip a switch and be crying so hard he might pass out the next. He's really starting to coo and do tiny little giggles a lot. He acts shy when people talk to him- he'll smile then duck his head away. He LOVES his older brother. All Boaz has to do is walk by and he'll smile from ear to ear. He really enjoys it when Boaz sings to him. He's eating like a champ and still gets up between 3 & 4am to eat each night. Mom & Dad are hoping that routine ends soon! His favorite things to do are lay on his activity mat and chew on the moose & giraffe hanging from it, or sit in his bumbo and watch Boaz do activities at the table. Boaz thinks it's really funny when Cainan is watching him eat and starts drooling all over the place. Cainan is definitely a drooler. He is constantly chewing on objects or his hands lately. He isn't a routine guy quite yet- he likes to take little cat naps all day long instead of longer naps. (I guess the cat napping could be our routine??) We love our little man to pieces!!
Valentine's Day
2/14 - Valentine's Day is typically pretty busy for Luke. This year was no exception- he had to work in Coralville for the day. Boaz, Cainan, and I had a great day together and spent some time making presents for daddy. Here is Boaz helping make the brownies. (Luke had been craving brownies and ice cream lately... so that was his big Valentine's Day present!)
He got a couple cards, some brownies, and a picture of him with his boys.... We LOVE our daddy!!
Boaz and Cainan got a few goodies from mom and dad. Boaz got new sunglasses, a crazy straw cup, and a book.
Boaz & Cainan are quite the little buddies lately. Here's Boaz sharing his snack with his brother.
