Easter 2012- part 2

4/8-  We headed out to Grandma & Grandpa Bartlett's house for Easter dinner at noon.  Myka enjoyes the beads and maracas at Grandma's.

Happy Easter, Great Grandma Bartlett!
Hanging out with Great Grandpa Bartlett.
Great Grandma is good at getting smiles...

Grandma & Grandpa B hid some eggs in their yard for the boys to find!

They had a blast searching the yard...

Hey!  How'd that get up there!?  Boaz jumped and jumped, but couldn't reach it.

Looking for little treasures.

The boys played a game of 'throw the ball on the shed roof' with Grandpa.
The balls went over the neighbor's fence eventually.  We lifted the boys over to go get them.  Then throwing the ball over the fence turned into Cainan seeing how hard he could throw the ball INTO the fence.
He was so intense!  I really wish I had a close-up of his face while he was throwing this ball with all his might.  It made us laugh so hard.
Soon Cainan started taunting Grandpa at the fence...
and Grandpa obliged by throwing the ball right at him.  Cainan thought it was hilarious and begged him to do it 'againt!'
We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather... and listened to Boaz tell stories.

Cainan helped Grandma water her strawberries.
And they all opened Easter cards from Grandma & Grandpa.
Myka was very excited to have a card to call her own.
Working on some stickers with Grandpa Bartlett.
Then that evening, Grandma & Grandpa Glace came over to play!!   It was a blessed Easter full of people we love.  Happy Easter!!

Easter 2012!

4/8-  Since we went to the Easter service last night, we got up and had a relaxing morning around the house today.  It was such a great thing for our family.  Last night the nurseries weren't crowded, there were plenty of seats, we weren't rushed.   Then this morning, we got to spend a lot of time together talking about why we have Easter.  We made Resurrection Rolls together for breakfast.

While the rolls baked, the boys wrestled.  And I finished up eggs, bacon, and made juice!!  (a special breakfast treat!)   At breakfast, we opened our last Resurrection Egg and talked about why it is so amazing that the tomb was empty!!  We had some good discussions that I hope will stick in these boys' minds someday!  So thankful He is ALIVE!
Luke headed out to the court after breakfast to break off some of the little gritty pieces on top and then swept it up.
Pastor Bartlett shared the Easter story with me while I cleaned the kitchen.
Pastor takes his job very seriously.
We gave the boys their Easter baskets.  Cainan was excited about his new diggers for the sandbox!

We gave the boys these exciting paint books... that turned out to be worthless.  But they'll make good coloring books!!
And they got some bag chairs!  We'd planned to watch an Easter VeggieTales movie last night, but since we went to the service let them watch it this morning instead.  They enjoyed Movie Morning in their new chairs and are excited to use them this summer at our various outings!

Easter Eve

4/7-  Luke worked all day today.  At dinner tonight he asked if we should consider going to the evening Easter service.  We were all up and nothing planned for the evening, nobody was bathed... but why not!!  We finished dinner, changed into our Easter outfits and headed out the door.  Our neighbor came over and attempted to get a good family picture of us.  It'll never happen....
My goal... to SOMEDAY have a really great picture of our whole family.  Someday...

The kids...
Boys will be boys...

Seriously... these guys are full of energy.  They crack me up.
My sweet Myka watches all this madness contently....
The only way I'll get a picture of these brothers sitting together.... buckled in!

Boaz got to come to the service with us and was pretty excited about that.  He did a great job listening and enjoyed the music the most.  (of course)  Almost Easter!!
