birthday cake and girls singing, haircuts, bball

2/22- Since we were in Florida for Boaz's birthday, we skipped the birthday bash with friends.  While we were away, we decided that it'd be fun for Boaz to pick a friend to do something special with instead of doing a big party.  So Luke took Boaz, Cainan, Jonah, and Kevin (Jonah's Dad) out for a boys morning at the movies.  While they were away, I decided that we'd better have a cake for his day of celebrating.  Not a masterpiece, but he has a cake!!
The girls were very excited about the cake.  We sat at the table and practiced singing Happy Birthday for a long time.

Practicing our singing... I love when Kezia sings.

Later that afternoon, Jonah invited Boaz over for a bit and the kids and I decorated the cake with some sprinkles.  (That was really my ploy to make Cainan feel okay about staying back... we had a secret mission to do!!)

Haircut night!!  I buzzed the top of Cainan's head and he looked like an old man.
Boaz has always wanted to try a mohawk.  This time I obliged and let him try it out.  After haircuts and baths we celebrated with cake and ice cream.  Happy birthday, Boaz!

2/23-  Looking cool with his mohawk today.  We think he looks a bit like Dave (Toby Mac's music director) today.

Posing on the way to church...
Cainan in his vest.

The girls wanted in on the fun!

Cainan is so sweet with Kezia.  I Love You....

Our neighbors gave us a few tickets to the basketball game tonight.  We'd planned to take Cainan and Boaz, but when we told them about it Cainan whined that basketball games were too long and he just couldn't sit down that long.  He thought he'd have more fun at home.  Then Myka whined that she wanted to go.  So... we took Boaz and Myka!  The kids did well and we had a fun time cheering for our favorite team.
Boaz and Daddy.
Our friend, James, is the women's soccer coach and was in a milk drinking contest against another guy across the arena.  James won and our whole section got a coupon for free milk at Hansen's Dairy!!  We get 6 gallons a week there, so we were thankful that James supplied us for a week!  Hooray, James!!
