New Trains!

5/22 - Our neighbor, Dave, gave us a new set of trains and tracks! Boaz & Daddy have had lots of fun setting them up in our living room. (I don't know who has more fun with this toy??) Grandma & Grandpa Glace found Boaz & Cainan new trains that have batteries and move fast! Boaz has been really excited about 'Choo Choo Thomas!'

Cainan likes to lay right by the track and squeal as they drive by. He kicks his legs and gets really excited when they pass.

I wish the sound on this video was better... the train noise gets in the way of the funny toot noises Cainan was making. They were loud!!

Dad's Owie

5/17 - Boaz tried to put on his own shorts this morning... this was the result. We've been heading out to a Dad's softball games this summer. On Monday nights, Luke plays with a bunch of our good friends that have kids also. During the early games we spread out a blanket and have a giant picnic with all of them. This is our friend Addelyn!

One time in the middle of the week, I told Boaz we were going to go on a picnic for lunch- he just assumed that his friend Addelyn would be there, too.... since she's at our softball picnics! Our friend Avery. (I need to get a better picture of all these kiddos sometime!)Dad came home with this owie after sliding into home during the game. It looks like he's professing his love for us, doesn't it? We've had quite the time getting this wound to heal, but it's almost there. Boaz was examining the ouchie one day and asked what was on it. Luke unfortunately told him that it was 'blood & puss.' So- for days I had to listen to Boaz talk about blood and puss... disgusting!! I have a gag reflex that reacts quite easily to even a word like puss!! :( Gross. I also like at the end of the video when he starts to tell a story... once upon a time!

Boaz was wearing this new shirt and I taught him that it said "Moms Beach Bum." I never explained what beach bum meant, so thought it would be fun to ask him and see what he said...

He was pretty close!

Cainan 7 months

5/15 - It's been awhile since we've had any cute bathtime photos, so here you go! 5/16 - Cainan is SEVEN months old!! I say this every month, but I can't believe how fast time is flying! Cainan is finding his voice and discovering all sorts of new things this month. His current forms of communication include the shriek, the elephant sound, and just recently yayaya or dadadada. He is sitting up better and better- but we still prop some pillows around him for the occasional tip-over.
Cainan loves to roll all over the house. I scatter toys all over the living room (or Boaz does it naturally) and he will spend lots of time scooting and rolling to check them all out. In this picture, he started out over by the armchair- I went out of the room for a few seconds and came back to find him heading into the kitchen!

Here's a video of his shriek...

And a video of one of his favorite games currently....

We love you, Cainan!!

Visit to Eldora

5/14 - We headed to Grandma & Grandpa Glace's house for the day today. We called the day before to see if we could come visit and Grandma said the only thing on her agenda was to bake cookies for a graduation reception. So Boaz packed up his apron and we went to Eldora to help!
This is pretty much what Boaz enjoys most about cooking...
The finished product...Cainan looking hungry before dinner! A favorite thing to do at their house is walk to the park and feed the goats. Here are a few clips of the excitement. When Boaz gets really excited he starts running in place doing high knees! We had a great day back home!

Superman

5/13 - Luke is a big fan of Superman. He's passing this love on to his sons. My parents got Boaz these pajamas before we even knew he was a boy! He's finally big enough to wear them and is super excited about his Superman cape. I have to wash these quite often because he wants to wear them every night currently. Practicing his flying with daddy...We went to see Grandma & Grandpa Glace the next morning and he insisted on wearing the pj's so he could show them off. Every time he wears them, he has to show us how fast he can fly. Here he is at Grandma & Grandpa's house. He does the same thing around and around our living room before bed. I guess it's a good way to get him worn out!

Cainan's 6 month pictures!

My computer is FINALLY back up and running... I have a lot of catching up to do on these blogs, so they might be coming at you fast and furious the next few days!! :) I'll start by showing you Cainan's 6 month pictures! My friend, Angie Stewart, came to our house in late April and took these fantastic pictures of our little man. She was talking about crates and buckets and things we could set him in when I remembered that I had this old Bartlett pear crate! I think the pictures turned out really cute...
