F is for Fireman!

11/11-  You can't have "F" week without a trip to the Fire Station!  Some friends of ours from church are firemen and we arranged a visit with them today.  The boys were impressed by this dalmation statue before we even got into the station!

They took us on a tour of the station.  First stop- all the living quarters.  The boys got to hear what an alarm sounded like when they have to jump out of bed quick.  They said it takes them about 6 seconds to be from bed to in the truck... amazing!  In the garage they had an old fire truck that we thought was really cool. 

We also checked out the ambulance!

Notice Cainan's finger pointing in every picture?  "What's that? Look!  What's this?  Look!!"

The boys were a little intimidated to sit in the fire truck on their own.  Dad hopped up in there first to show them how it's done. 

They weren't so scared with their dad to help. 

Then they got to 'drive!'   Boaz really wanted to sit in this seat and look at all the buttons. 

Cainan's turn... all business. 

The boys wanted Dennis to open up every single door on the fire truck.  Every. Single. Door.  Good thing Dennis is a patient guy!

 Dennis turned the lights on for us!!

 Thanks to our friends, Dean & Dennis, for a fun time at the fire station!!! 

 * The boys even got fireman trading cards to take home.  They thought that was soooo great!
