kezia standing, finding our routine, fun and games

9/19- This drawer... my nemesis and my savior- all in one.

Cainan lets myka push him down and she thinks it's hilarious. Our couches are a complete wreck, but they are a ton of fun.

We're getting into a good groove around here. The kids come to the table in the morning and they have some papers waiting for them. For Boaz- it's handwriting in his journal, sight words workbook, letter writing, etc. Cainan typically has a maze, a color matching picture, some shape tracing and name tracing, etc. Myka usually colors. I make breakfast very slowly and the kids work with my help. It's a fun relaxed morning and we enjoy our extended table time

During the morning, I pull Boaz aside at some point for some reading work. Cainan earns marks on a chart for helping the girls play. When he fills his chart, he gets to play Wii with Dad! :) Then while they girls nap, the boys and I do math. Cainan plays along- sometimes at a bit easier level, but he really is a numbers kid and enjoys math a lot. Today we played several math games with our cubes and trays. For this one, I put a number on my tray and said 'more than, less than, or equal to' and they had to put that number of cubes on their tray. This was their 'more than'... with funny faces.

9/20- Driving a car... See ya, Cainan!

We went to a nature school today and the leader was telling us about a weed that you could eat. We took some home and tried it for lunch. The kids weren't super impressed, but I was glad they tried it!!
