Ozarks Vacation- day 3

8/16-  Tuesday was a rainy rainy day.  That's always a bummer when your primary activities are outdoors.  We had a leisurly morning and made up a lot of games in the condo.  Boaz made this bus and took us around town- he collected tickets, made the stops, and picked us all up again when we were done at our various locations.

Cainan helped me make some brownies.

Licking the spoon is always the best part of helping me cook!

Mmmmm....
Grandma & Grandpa came over to our condo and took rides on the bus, too.
Grandpa swung the boys around the living room- always entertaining!

After naps, we decided to try out a new place in town we'd never been to- Miner Mike's.  When we walked in, we wondered if the boys would be entertained enough to be worth the price of admission... not sure if they'd really like crawling through the tunnels and things.  But- there was nothing else to do for the rainy afternoon, so we figured we'd give it a try.  (Thanks, grandpa!)
Grandpa crawled around the tunnels with Boaz for awhile.  It wasn't long before he and Luke decided they might be a bit too claustrophobic to do much of that!  :)
The ball pit was a HUGE hit!
Hi, Dad!
This target made for a great game...
Burying Grandpa in the pit...
Cainan seriously spent about 2 hours in the ball pits. He loved jumping around and throwing balls.

Boaz enjoyed attacking daddy with the balls.
Then Dad decided to fight back!
A few others joined in the fight... Dad versus the world!
At one point, I'd followed Boaz around for awhile and didn't know what Luke and Cainan were up to.  I figured they'd left the ball pit long ago, but found Luke doing this....  still throwing balls at random children!

Like father - like son!!
Peek-a-boo!   Grandma was brave and went exploring in the tunnels with Boaz.
They found the air-powered guns and had fun shooting at kids across the way.
Grandpa decided he needed in on that fun, so made his way through the tunnel maze to the guns.
He takes his games very seriously, too.  Grandpa takes on the 8 year olds....
I laughed at Grandpa taunting the children... just try to hit me!!

Grandma- not so serious in the airplane thing.
Cainan found a slide just his size.  He went through it a bunch of times.
Uncle Justin playing peek-a-boo with Cainan.
Hi, Justin!
Daddy and Boaz shooting the guns....
Taking a break with Grandpa.  Those ball pits are hard work!
After they shot the guns, Daddy took Boaz down this slide.  A horrible picture, I know... but the most hilarious thing was- when he got to the bottom the only way out was through a tiny crawlspace.  Justin and I saw the debacle the same time as Luke and we all started cracking up- seriously not knowing if he was going to get out of there!!
A video of Luke's narrow escape...
This slide was the coolest one there.  It was made of rollers so it was a bumpy ride down.  We challenged Luke to see if he could climb up it.  Exit only??

Cainan is our daredevil... he loved jumping into the pit over and over.

After seeing Cainan jump a few times, Boaz decided that it might be okay to try it.

We ended the day on the roller slide a few times.  Cainan crawled through the tunnels and went down the with dad.  Afterward, Cainan kept saying, "One more!"

Wheeeee.....
I think that Miner Mike's will be on the must-do list for future Ozarks vacations now.  The little kids AND big kids had a blast!
